A collection of works by Portuguese artist Tiago Bom.

In this work, Bom documented the ecosystems, unique flora, and fauna found in northeastern India such as West Bengal, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh. In addition, photographs of archaeological and architectural remains from western Europe (Portugal and Norway) are scattered throughout the book. Bom argues that when two culturally and biologically different things meet during a journey, they collide with each other and fuse together, transmuting into a new body. "Transmutation" in alchemy describes the change of state from one form to another, and the psychologist Carl Gustav Jung describes the process of transmutation as almost an allegory of the process of transformation of the mind. I am pointing out that there is. The book arranges the subjects according to their symbolic relationships in medieval European alchemy, and further divides them into five chapters about the stages of metamorphosis, suggesting the process of transformation in Bomm's own journey.

Thiago Bom is an artist born in Portugal in 1986 and currently living in Oslo. In addition to his work as an artist, he also co-curated the Central Asia Museum at the Venice Biennale.
