An Unreliable Guidebook To Jewellery by Lisa Walker
Perimeter Editions/RMIT Design Hub Gallery
A collection of works by New Zealand jewelry artist Lisa Walker.
This book explores how Walker's internationally acclaimed work can be framed based on the questions raised throughout his career: "What is jewelry?" are pushing forward further. This new edition is based on the original edition published in conjunction with the 2019 retrospective "She wants to go to her bedroom but she can't be bothered" at the RMIT Design Hub Gallery in Melbourne. Created as the closing of an exhibition held at the Waitakere Contemporary Gallery. The narratives that emerge throughout the book offer a free-flowing examination of Walker's work from different periods, with repeated digressions, and return to many important themes in the jewelry field.
Second edition, 750 copies.
