Das figürliche Werk - Katalog 1978: Fernand Leger
A collection of works by French artist Fernand Leger.
Legger was impressed by Cézanne's retrospective exhibition held in Paris in 1907, and joined Cubism, an avant-garde art movement at the time. He is now recognized as a Cubist writer along with Picasso and Braque. His activities were not confined to canvases, but he was an extremely versatile artist, working on stage art for ballets and movies, and in charge of many architectural murals designed by Le Corbusier and Alvar Aalto. From the episode that William Klein studied painting under Regge before he picked up the camera, we can see that he was a person who exerted an influence across borders.
This book is a catalog published in 1978 and contains both color and monochrome illustrations.
