A collection of works by Swedish sculptor/painter/graphic artist Eric Grate (1896-1983).

As a sculptor, Great has left a large number of public art works in Sweden. Among them, the sculpture "The Etymological Woman Theft" installed at the Karolinska Institute in the suburbs of Stockholm is widely known. This book is a collection of works published by the Swedish Public Art Association (Sveriges Allmänna Konstförening) in 1978 in his later years, and contains abundant illustrations. The top of the page is left uncut, which lends itself to the impression that it somehow echoes Great's work. This binding method, which does not cut the top of the page, is called uncut binding, and can be said to be a remnant of the era when books were once a luxury item for the wealthy. Readers cut the pages with paper knives as they read, and when they finished reading, they rebounded the books in their favorite luxurious bindings and collected them. A book where you can feel the history and romance of bookbinding.
