Sims is widely recognized for her work that combines a conceptual style with humor and social criticism. As an artist, he has held solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, ICA London, etc., has been active in bands, hosts NTS's monthly radio program "CCartalkLA", and runs the independent publisher "Dominica" focusing on blackness. I am engaged in a wide variety of activities.
This work is an artist book exploring the possibilities of narrative and identity, with diaries written by Sims between 2015 and 2017, and stills from the 2020 video work Ugly Plymouts. configured by combining The book design mimics the Bible, with an embossed leather-like cover and a gold border paint.
