Catalogue 2012 by Thomas Ruff
A collection of works by German photographer Thomas Ruff.
This book was published in conjunction with Ruff's solo exhibition at Gagosian Gallery London in 2012. ``ma.r.s.'' with Mars as a motif, ``Substrats'' that abstracts and synthesizes images from anime and manga, ``jpegs'' that destroys the image by deliberately using low-resolution images, and blurry pornographic images. The two volumes that recorded the series "nudes" are combined into one volume, and by using the attached 3D glasses, it is possible to appreciate "ma.r.s." three-dimensionally just like the exhibition. Contains an essay by Jeff Dyer and a conversation between Ruff and Hans-Ulrich Obrist.
A book that combines two books into one, and a large-sized book that is fresh.
