The New Colonists by Monica Alcazar-Duarte

Bemojake

A collection of works by London-based British photographer Monica Alcazar-Duarte.

This book is based on a documentary about Mars, a quaint town located in the suburbs of Pennsylvania, United States. It consists of three elements, an AR experience using an app. In the AR part, narration by Dr. Ian Crawford of Birkbeck College, University of London is played with 3D animation.

When these three elements overlap, one can involuntarily feel the human passion for space exploration and the history of human development that accompanies it, even in the scenery of a universal rural town. This book is recommended not only for those who are interested in space-related themes, but also for those who are interested in works dealing with the topic "suburbs".
