A collection of works by New York-based photographer Pierre Le Hors.
This book contains photographs of fireworks in the night sky taken by Orus. By limiting the tonal values to nearly two shades of black and white, the firework trails, explosions, and debris clouds are reduced to a series of simple repeating elements, and extend the range of image files beyond the traditional range. The roughness caused by the enlargement of the image is mixed with the texture of the fireworks itself, and the borderline between the image and the support becomes extremely vague.
The total number of pages is 320, and the pitch-black appearance with a thickness of about 3 centimeters already gives off a strange presence even before opening the page.
