New York by Giacomo Brunelli
A collection of works by London-based Italian artist Giacomo Brunelli.
With a 1962 Miranda camera in hand, Brunelli walks the streets of New York for 10 hours every day, photographing interesting people and details until the sun goes down. He probably photographed various motifs, but in this book, humans, animals such as pigeons and horses, and cars are the main subjects. Their facial expressions are not revealed at all, and it is interesting that all the subjects are treated as equal beings who come and go in New York. The result of archaic photography and conceptual editing is a mysterious collection that is neither classical nor contemporary.
In addition, by applying varnish to the printed surface, it feels as if the print has been pasted directly onto the backing paper.
Limited to 800 copies.
