Flowers for ______ by Nigel Shafran

Koenig Books

Fourth photobook by British photographer Nigel Shafran.

This book, a sequel to "Ruthbook (1995)," was produced for his wife and son. As the title suggests, the book opens with a booklet-like page containing photographs of flowers. The matte-textured pages are interspersed with glossy printed pages, indicating that the artist's expression has matured over the years since "Ruthbook". Several photographs of his wife Ruth, which would later be included in "Dark Rooms," are also used in the book, but the difference in impression created by the editing method is surprising despite the fact that they are the same photographs.

Limited edition of 750 copies, numbered. Out of print.
