Self Published

A private collection of works by Japanese photographer Seiichi Furuya.

Christine and Furuya, who were discharged from the hospital at the end of February 1985, jumped on the night train and headed for Venice. The two stayed in Venice for three days, wandering aimlessly around the island. Furuya had shot two rolls of film, but later accidentally reused one roll in East Berlin, exposing the view of Venice and the view of East Berlin on top of each other. . In 2002, in commemoration of Christine's birthday, Furuya self-published a book of these photographs of their last trip together. An exhibition of the same name was held at the Shinjuku Nikon Salon, and Furuya won the 27th Ina Nobuo Award.
