A collection of works by American photographer Raymond Meeks.

Meeks is known for his poetic depiction of the boundaries between sight, consciousness and understanding, using his photographic and book formats. In this work, he turns that gaze closer, examining whether we can truly understand our physical environment and the people closest to us. For a long time, authors have explored how we construct the world around us, how we carry around things that make us comfortable, what we have inherited, and what signs of material success we have. I have been interested in how people decorate their homes with various items such as clocks that keep time. The author searches for clues common to petty sins hidden in stumbled ruins and unmanicured lawns. Perhaps the most important questions in our self-centered reality are those of knowledge and understanding. Early in the morning, I photograph my partner, fellow photographer Adrianna Ault, who is still asleep.
