Heterotemporality by Ari Marcopoulos
*Restocked
A collection of works by Ari Marcopoulos, a Dutch photographer living in the United States.
Inspired by the collection of works "Tokyo Paper" by Dutch graphic designer Karel Martens, Marcopoulos explores the generalization of "inside and outside" and "public" due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I produced this book while thinking about what distinguishes the realm of "I and I". Black and white photographs taken outdoors from January to February 2021 are printed on the surface, and color still life and portrait photographs are recorded inside the folded pages. Marcopoulos has said that putting his own photographs into a book is a good way to see how the images fit together, and that the book is like a short film. By adopting a special book design, a three-dimensional expression that is different from Marcopoulos' photobooks so far is casually done.
