Hexamiles (Mont-Voisin) by Batia Suter
A collection of works by Batia Suter, an artist based in the Netherlands and Switzerland.
This book was published to coincide with Suter's solo exhibition at Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland. In this work, Suter puts even more emphasis on her extensive archive of landscape scans, which has been a key component of her previous collections. Many of the images depict wastelands, alternating between romantic and terrifying landscapes, creating a sense of majesty and disorientation at the same time. In addition, a variety of different geological and biological environments are merged into a complex and dreamy landscape in a kind of adventurous journey.
First edition 1200 copies.
