Cy Twombly's Things by Kate Nesin
A collection of works by American artist Cy Twombly.
This work is written by Kate Nesin, an American art historian who studies Twombly's three-dimensional works, and focuses on Twombly's sculptural works. Twombly is one of the most influential post-World War II artists, but little is known about his sculptural work. Since 1964 he has produced a large number of found objects, some of which have been painted white using various techniques. Twombly's position within the sculptural genre has changed rapidly over the course of his life, but he has produced a remarkably consistent body of work over the decades.
