(Signed) Fold Out by Verena Winkelmann

A collection of works by Norwegian artist Verena Winkelmann.

This work, Winkelmann's fifth anthology, consists of photographs of naked bodies of people of different ages, genders and ethnicities. Winkelmann carefully dealt with various bodies, investigating to what extent the reader could express them without becoming a mere voyeur and without embarrassment. In addition, she points out how Winkelmann's images and society that we see on a daily basis determine how our bodies should be and create stereotypes about the body. Most of the bodies we see in public are sexually emphasized, and conversely, naked bodies create the impression that they are alien and dangerous. Therefore, in this work, the body was expressed as it is in a way that is not associated with such staging or marketing.

title "Fold Out" has the double meaning of the body being folded and the body being literally folded into a collection of works.
