(Signed) The Animals by Giacomo Brunelli
A collection of works by Giacomo Brunelli, an Italian photographer living in London.
This book contains photographs of animals taken between 2005 and 2010. As Allison Nordstrom (George Eastman House, Rochester, NY, Curator of Photography) notes, he is not interested in zoo window sills or caged exotic animals, but horses, Ordinary animals that coexist with us to some extent, such as dogs, cats, chickens, and pigeons, while Brunelli is a wild, small, ephemeral animal that inhabits farms, cobbled streets, and stone building facades. I photographed the state, and the man-made and the natural meet and overlap, and it reflects the appearance of living in a familiar space of limits.
